Two grave errors leaders can make when serious sin arises in the church: One is not dealing with the sin and refusing to discipline the unrepentant sinner (1 Cor 5). The other is to deal with the sin but refusing to graciously forgive and comfort the repentant sinner (2 Cor 2).

Permanent DST would mean later winter sunrises and darker mornings, cutting key morning light exposure that entrains circadian rhythms. This misalignment with social schedules often worsens sleep quality, raises cardiovascular risks (heart attacks, strokes), increases obesity and metabolic issues, and can affect mood and alertness. A 2025 Stanford analysis found permanent standard time would prevent far more stroke (~300k) and obesity (~2.6M) cases nationwide than permanent DST. AASM and sleep researchers recommend permanent standard time as the healthier option for biological alignment.
