Printed the first test benchy today on this amazing 3D printer upgrade. The removable build plate and multi-filament holder is a game changer! Grateful for all the district support to replace our old 3D printers. @YorktownCSD Thanks to @futureschlib for finding this gem.

The chicks are in the brooder! What are their names you ask? We will see when the school wide vote tallies are in! Thank you Mrs. Breen, Mrs. Nayate, Mrs. Toscano and Mrs. Smith for helping us make this happen! A true ESTEAM experience!

Mrs. Breen showed our K students from Mrs. DellaVecchia’s class how to candle chicken eggs. We can’t wait until our eggs hatch!

1st grade students had a great time playing games in the #ESTEAMLab while they waited for their classmates to finish their projects. What a fun and engaging way for children to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

I loved using the scribble tool on @tinkercad with my younger students in the #ESTEAMLab to have them practice writing their name while creating keepsakes for their families. They looked amazing framing the students’ pictures!

Kindergartens and 1st graders spent time in the #ESTEAMLab coding kibo robots to catch that turkey and do a noodle dance.

First graders had fun designing and creating their own spooky monsters in the #ESTEAMlab this week.

You could feel (and hear) the excitement in the #ESTEAMLab as students solved clues to open a @breakoutEDU box that contained a gift from book thief Ted. Genre of the month + ESTEAM = Lot of fun!!!!

Our new @nuggetcomfort and yogibo beanbag is a huge success! A student even said that the library is 100 times better this year because of our new comfy seating area! A big thanks to the Brookside PTA for their support of our library! @Brookside_YCSD

ESTEAM + Halloween = a lot of fun!!! Kindergarteners @Brookside_YCSD had a great time working together to create a fence for the Five little pumpkins in the #ESTEAMLab today.

In the ESTEAM Lab this year, our 3rd grade students participated in a Whale Conservation Effort by creating marketing materials to bring attention to endangered whales. Using a Cricut and 3D printers they created pencil pouches, water bottle stickers, and magnets.

Getting inspired to spend a summer full of reading, first graders watched exciting book trailers and then worked together to create a bookmark in @canva in the ESTEAM Lab this week.

This is not a piece of paper… It is a army plane, hat, playground, picture frame,bff radio, bow tie, monster, and much much more. Creativity was abound in the ESTEAM Lab last week all thanks to the inspiring book Not a Box by @aportisa
