Just gotta say something: The founders of Yuga Labs could have just kept the $100M+ revenue they generated in the first 18 months of their business for themselves 4 guys. They could’ve each just made NBA player money for a year and a half and been set for life. They didn’t have to take funding from A16Z and the other VC firms They didn’t have to decide to go down the harrowing path of making an MMORPG game built on bleeding edge tech. Literally 99% of founders in this industry stop after they make a few million dollars, no matter how quick that money comes. And it can come quick. Look at FriendTech. Yuga Labs seems like they’re trying to take this thing to IPO. That’s not a casual thing to do. That takes huge life sacrifice. I don’t care how much of a nest egg you bonus yourself out.
