Thanks for sharing @sol_nxxn, just added $ALGO! Only $85 for 1M transactions on Algorand… 🤯 This shows how ridiculously cheap Algorand is, with fees of just 0.001 $ALGO per txn, regardless of the type. Tbh fees should be increased 10x at the very least. It would still be very cheap and competitive even if price goes up, while keeping Algorand usable for micro-txns and generating more revenue for validators. $ALGO is a true marvel, whether for its UX or the many key native features built into it, and one of the very few L1s already integrating post-quantum security features! Keeping fees low is important, especially with the rise of agentic commerce, but a balance must be found so they're not unnecessarily low.

I’ve never been happier to have no reach. No influence. The world is such bs and being honest has severe consequences. Everyone should pray for the people with a following that have the courage to speak out against our masters.

Just curious--who is still holding $ALGO? Been a tough ride the past year... just straight down. If you are still holding like me, we're either the smartest or stupidest people on the planet 😂

Fun fact, Starlink has lower latency than fiber for intercontinental distances. This is because light travels faster through a vacuum, hopping between satellites before returning to Earth. Sf to Mumbai Fiber : 250 ms Starlink: 120 ms

@DeFi1042351 @iGetAlgo Something I learned over the years. Taking profit and saving it for a strategic buyback has always been more beneficial to my holders than holding LP through a pump & dump.

It can be a double edge sword, if btc pumps as a token creator, you are more apt to hold the liquidity pool and not take profit. Look at what happened to @iGetAlgo iGA/FOLKS as folks pumped to 50$

@AlgoFoundation Be careful not to focus on symptoms rather than problems. It doesn't matter what fee or reward size you pick if it's devalued over time. I'd pick 0.05A with a lean operating footprint if that meant value can build. Security will be fine. Nodes are easier to set up nowadays.

Update on the status of the Project King Safety economic sustainability paper. The Foundation’s goal with the paper is to share thoughts on how to sustain staking rewards after January 2027, when the Foundation-provided rewards run out. The paper will explore both theoretical options for network sustainability – revenue (fees) and new token emissions for block proposers. In terms of fees, we explore both increasing transaction fees and building out an MEV capability. We know that there are a range of strong opinions in all three areas, and we have begun the process to collect feedback from the largest protocols building on our ecosystem, as they will be the most directly affected. We appreciate and have benefited from the many good-faith conversations we have had to date. We plan to release the recommendation paper in the next 30 to 60 days. Some additional notes: 1/ The challenge that we need to tackle is declining and uncertain staking rewards: stakers currently receive around 9.1 Algo per block, declining by a steep 1% every million blocks. Fees account for 0.05 Algo. If no action is taken, the rewards to stakers will drop to 0.05 Algo in January 2027. 2/ The original vision for Algorand was for the community to secure the network without the need for staking rewards, but that’s not what happened, and the Foundation ended up with 70% of the online stake. After introducing staking rewards, the total online stake is now almost 2B Algo, with the Foundation accounting for less than 20%. If the staking reward drops to 0.05 Algo, it is likely that overall network security will suffer. 3/ The Foundation welcomes good-faith community feedback and input on this paper, but the ultimate decision is in the hands of the staking community, as no proposals will be adopted unless the required protocol changes are approved by 90% of the online stake. 4/ Finally, there are longer-term questions that need to be answered, including how to fund core protocol development and create the right builder incentives. The Foundation believes that it is up to the community to self-organize around these topics and propose recommendations. The Foundation will support as needed.

To my understanding, uncapping the supply on Algorand would require 90% of block producers to accept the new protocol before the upgrade can take place. Never going to happen.

@cryptomalgo I'd be fine with 0.01%. Defi could do crazier things for cheaper. Large movements would still fund the network. The rate is still competitive enough to be relevant. 0-1 -> 0.0001 (new minimum) 10 -> 0.001 100 -> 0.01 1K -> 0.1 10K -> 1 100K -> 10 1M -> 100 10M -> 1K 100M -> 10K

What if transaction fees weren't fixed but scaled with the amount? No one sending 100K ALGO will bat an eye at a 1 ALGO fee, we're used to paying percentage-based fees. This keeps microtransactions dirt cheap while generating more protocol revenue from large transfers. For example: 0-100 -> 0.001 (current) 100-1K -> 0.01 1K-10K -> 0.1 10K-100K -> 1 100K-1M -> 10

In the last 365 days, Algorand has generated ~$200k in revenue through transaction fees, which are extremely low ($0.00014/tx). According to @tokenterminal, $ALGO is currently ranked top 19 among L1s in terms of revenue generated. And this is definitely NOT because the chain is barely used! Even though we always need more activity (like a constant 60–70 TPS would be great, compared to ~26 TPS on average today), $ALGO is still one of the L1s with the most organic on-chain activity, and the real reason is simply that the fees are ridiculously low. A hypothetical 10x fee adjustment could bring $ALGO close to the top 10, ahead of chains like $APT, while still being one of the cheapest chains to use on the market. Coupled with new use cases requiring heavy on-chain activity, like agentic commerce, this could be huge! What's certain is that the next few months will be really interesting to follow, with likely great discussions/debates within the community, especially with the upcoming "Project King Safety", a position paper from @AlgoFoundation regarding Algorand's economic sustainability! 🔥 IMO, it's very positive to see $ALGO focusing on this! It's super crucial for both network security and ecosystem growth that the chain generates enough revenue on its own, which, we can all agree, is not the case right now. No doubt that implementing a new fee + incentive mechanism, approved by the community, could be a major boost for the chain! 📈 Feel free to share your take on this! 👇

@mcmaximz @7starstarot @ALGO_BRO @EldarDRM @eviszen I'm still here. I don't have much choice as only Algorand can handle what I am about to do. I have a strong collab with Skynet. The text-based RPG is now playable although still very basic. Everything will change directions once I get this next proof of concept working.

Authentication is broken. Passwords get hacked. Authenticator apps get lost. Platforms can lock you out. On Algorand, we just shipped a fix that changes everything: Liquid Auth, the first self-custodial passkey manager. It is not just a new feature. It is a reset of how digital identity, authentication, and self-custody can work on the open internet.
