To give a quick update. As of yesterday we are live on mainnet & diamond IOS users are testing the app out.
We’re tackling bugs & beginning work on the android & web versions.
5 YEARS of building this and it’s been an insane journey that is really just getting started.

I tried one Cardano dapp and it was a nightmare.
As Patrick’s anecdote shows, people really fall in love with their bags and make excuses for them.
Algorand’s tech actually works, and that’s shockingly uncommon from my crypto experience.

The very first time I tried Cardano was at RareEVO. Fisherman and I were there, it was mostly a Cardano conf and we were like, I guess we should try it? 🤷 Set up a wallet, went to coinbase account, bought a little, and withdrew to wallet. Mine went through but took like two minutes?!? Fish’s …. Failed. Never arrived. Had to wait and retry. Just…. Garbage. Asked people there.. so why do you like Cardano? No one seemed particularly technical but would say it’s their favorite and it’s the best. But we couldn’t even do a simple withdrawal?! ‘..Oh, yeah, that happens sometimes…’ Pretty absurd tbh. Algorand keeps cranking and is just killer…. We have something new cooking that is a big departure for us but is still on Algorand rails (and one of the very few chains where it could even remotely work). If it gets used much it’ll be a ton of transactions too. 😎

By how many years will this accelerate the arrival of quantum computers that will break blockchain cryptography?
This just put a target on the blockchains with 5 year roadmaps.
Algorand had been shipping PQ features since 2022 and we will continue to do so until we are completely quantum secure.

Researchers just published a paper proposing @Algorand for quantum resistant timestamping in open science!
They even included a full step by step guide showing other researchers how to timestamp data on $ALGO! 👀
Algorand has supported post quantum Falcon signatures since 2022 through State Proofs, helping protect its entire transaction history against future quantum threats! 🔐
The paper argues that in a world of AI generated deepfakes and synthetic data, researchers need immutable proof that datasets, hypotheses and preregistrations existed at a specific point in time.
Actually, this is very close to what projects like LabTrace are already building on $ALGO for medical and scientific data integrity!
