That year, I published 6 paranormal shapeshifter novels (werewolves & shifters) and earned almost $10k. After exploring various niches, driven by others’ dashboards, I returned to fiction in March 2026, realizing it’s the only thing I truly know. My advice? Find a niche and stick to it. In January 2026, I stepped away from Amazon KDP. I was burned out on the platform and needed a change. I moved to Draft2Digital, published 7 books plus their translations, bringing my D2D catalog to 35 titles. Last month, those 35 books earned me $281. I was not impressed. On the 7th of last month, I made a decision. I uploaded my D2D fiction titles back to Amazon KDP. English versions only, plus 7 new English titles. That is 14 books total. No ads. No promotions. They generated $1,200 in under a month. This month alone, by April 5th, I am already at $448. Same books. Different platform. Completely different results.
