It breaks my heart seeing people who've never interacted with guns make an open minded attempt to try them, but doing so at some stuffy indoor range with boomer RSOs who hate fun. So their first experience just ends up being kind of meh at best, and completely uncomfortable at worst. The true environment for falling in love with guns is a group of friends out on public land mag dumping into trash and running fun drills and whatnot. Those of us in the gun community should be doing everything we can to identify these newbies, invite them out with us, and show them what a truly good time guns can actually be. We win the culture by exposing the uninformed to the same experiences that won us over.
