This being said, i get that inequality is crazy and there is a lot of shady shit and rigged economics going on. If we are gonna have a French revolution over it though, i think our targeting is a bit off. Instead of targeting people like bezos or musk, we need to be going after the private equity types who's whole game is buying up businesses/industries and then bleeding them dry through layoffs, raising prices, diminishing quality etc. Like there are so many real vampires out there, but people wanna tear down the actual productive innovators instead.

"Look at this guy's net worth number, that could feed every homeless person!" The people who post shit like this fundamentally misunderstand what billionaires even are. When they hear that bezos is worth 126 billion, do they think he just has all that money stashed away in cash somewhere? Just a big room of money that he jumps into scrooge mcduck style or something? That's not how anything works. That net worth number is made up mostly of all the assets that belonging to his company. The delivery trucks, the sorting warehouses, etc. This is not money being "hoarded"....its all tied up in the machinery that keeps services we all use running. The 126 bil is not really a measure of personal wealth as much as its a metric of value he has created through his management...value that continues to be used by everyone. Many of these guys actually have very little uninvested personal wealth..musk didn't even own a home for a long time. So when they want to "take all the money from the billionaires".....what are they even actually talking about doing? Seizing all Amazon's cargo planes and liquidating them to fund social programs....? Seems a bit shortsighted... But I guess if commies understood economics they wouldn't be commies anymore.

Smartest and most competent guy I ever knew got expelled second semester of his senior year of college with a 4.0 in a double major in Math/Chem his (then) gf had a BPD foid moment, accused him of beating her to the school, then 24hrs later calmed down and told the school “no don’t actually do anything I was just like, fully lying.
