With a commitment to being accountable to the people of Homa Bay who entrusted us to steer our county to greater heights, our CECs (County Executive Committee members) signed performance contracts this afternoon. In doing so, they pledge to deliver excellence in their dockets.

Together with Mama Dr @IdaOdinga and several MPs, we gathered in Komenya, Kagan Ward as leaders, family and friends to bid a final farewell to Rodgers Abuya Owuor who was a victim of political and ethic intolerance in Sondu. We abide to pursue justice for the family even as we remain compassionate to the young family he has left behind. May God comfort them and may Rodgers' soul rest in eternal peace.

This afternoon, we joined the family of my friend, Hon. Charles Ong'ondo Were, as we paid our final respects and laid to rest his sister-in-law, Jecinta Awuor Ochieng, in Kachien, Central Kasipul. May our Lord grant them courage during this trying time, and may Jecinta Rest In Eternal Peace.

We've officially kicked off the maize buying mop up initiative for our Kigoto Maize Milling Plant's Mokwa. My administration stands firmly beside our hardworking farmers, shielding them from exploitative middlemen. Our mission is clear: bolstering food security and empowering our people. #EndlessPotential

I received the Homa Bay County Red Cross team, who presented me with the trophies they won at the four-day youth camp held from July 5th to 9th at the Hudos Banda Camp in Kakamega. I congratulated them on their outstanding performance. #EndlessPotential

We finished our day by visiting Kowuor Primary School, where we donated chairs and lockers to improve the educational environment for pupils and teachers. I encouraged the pupils to work hard and pursue their dreams. #EndlessPotential

In Kanyaluo Ward, Rachuonyo North, we launched the Sema-Kaima Water Project. This project, supported in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Redondo Beach, California, and Suna-Migori, Kenya, provides relief to Kobila, Ambus, and adjacent villages in Kanyaluo. 1/2

Before commencing our day at the new office, we gathered for prayers. Faith is pivotal and central in my life, and we express gratitude to God for the abundant blessings bestowed upon us thus far. I wish everyone a fantastic week ahead full of blessings.

I joined leaders, including my Murang'a County counterpart, H.E. @HonKangata, at a fundraiser for the construction of a tuition block at Kaswanga Primary School in Rusinga Island Ward. Education continues to be a top priority for my administration as we believe in unlocking #EndlessPotential.

We made an impromptu visit to the Kiumba Beach Model Fish Banda constructed by Mbita CDF under the leadership of Hon. Millie Mabona. Upgrading the facility to attain its intended purpose is a top priority. Our plans include installing a cold storage unit to enhance value addition for the fish produce. #EndlessPotential

Today, we're appearing before the County Public Investment and Special Funds Committee to clarify the audit queries regarding Homawasco.
