Prohibition doesn’t stop drugs or crime, it CREATES crime because only criminals control the manufacturing, supply & marketplace, and it only makes drugs into the strongest and deadliest concentrations for efficiency & effects. Think Fentanyl instead of heroin. There’s no single policy change that could save more lives, more money, benefit more countries, almost immediately, than the legalization & regulation of all classes of drugs. Aren’t they dangerous? Yes, but no more dangerous than the legal drugs, and almost ALL the dangers could & would be mitigated with a regulated, legal system. Will there still be overdose deaths if we legalized drugs? Yes, just as there are still many deaths from alcohol & tobacco use. But we don’t prohibit those substances, instead we use regulation to make them as safe as possible and only available to adults, and the second key is education. The key isn’t prohibition, the main key is education. Look at tobacco, there was a time that cigarettes were promoted to such an extent that zippo lighters were standard G.I. Issue and smoking was at an almost 50% population wide usage and a societal commonplace. Now a recent high school drug survey had, as a percentage, more cannabis smokers than tobacco for the first time ever, and smoking of tobacco cigarettes has gone down every year for thirty years straight. We didn’t accomplish the downward trend by prohibiting tobacco, we did it through education and safer methods to obtain nicotine. Education and packets, snuff & vaping has cut down on smoking while still allowing nicotine. Prohibition doesn’t work, safer methods of using nicotine and education does. Prohibition doesn’t make drugs or their problems go away, it only makes everything worse. Prohibition doesn’t mean the banned substance goes away, but it does make everything more dangerous.

They think like the fantasy land idiots they are. They have programmed American sheeple into thinking the drug war has magically eliminated coke & heroin and all other drugs from streets, and most illicit fentanyl is captured in drug busts by heroes @ dea and fbi. 🐏🐏

Kansas is about to ban kratom but has no problem running a mitragynine trial for pharma. clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT07204… Same plant. Same alkaloid. This is like making cannabis illegal while approving Marinol. Or banning CBD while selling Epidiolex. It doesn’t protect people. It just makes it unaffordable.
