Imagine the worst thing you can say about Joe Biden is that he got old while carrying the weight of the country on his shoulders. He beat Trump when no one else could. He gave America and the world a fighting chance. He rebuilt the economy, passed historic legislation, stood with our allies, and restored dignity after four years of chaos and incompetence. Yes, he believed he still had more to give. That is not a moral failing. That is a man who loved his country and did not want to walk away from the fight when his nation needed him. In the end, he didn't fail the country, we did, because we fully knew the stakes. History will be much kinder to 46 than the pundits ever were. That I know. I’ve got his back. How about you?

@JustIndianaGirl @ChuckClarkJr Being heard does not mean being listened to. You would not be heard under Shari'a law. You are heard under Christian/Western law. This is false equivalency.

Why would we need to move to feel the effects of sharia law? When Christian Nationalism is heavy handed here because of insecure men such as yourself. Same thing.. different book being weaponized for power.
Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith@LGMicahBeckwith

Sharia Law has absolutely no place in Indiana or anywhere else in the United States. I urge anyone who disagrees with this statement to go live in a country governed by Sharia Law and let me know how that turns out.

@JeffClabault If Paxton is hated by most of the people in his party why did he win by almost 30 points? Oh and if you are pimping Talarico there is no way in hell you’re a Republican, not even a country club Republican

Whether you are a liberal, moderate, or conservative, the choice re who to vote for in the Texas Senate race is obvious. Talarico is a geeky guy who has lived a life of service and is widely respected. Paxton is a corrupt criminal scumbag who is hated by most of the folks in his own Party. Come on, Texas. Get this right!

People act as though it's insulting to suggest that Progressive "Christians" aren't sincere about what they believe. I think it's far more insulting to suggest that they are. If you believe Jesus and the apostles would cheer on a child being chemically castrated, or that they'd rejoice at the thought of a woman decided to rip her child apart, limb by limb, in the womb, you are genuinely a stupid person. Imagine you grab a guy who was marching in a pride parade while wearing dental floss, and hop in a time machine with him and travel to 1st century Judea and say to Jesus, "what do you think about this?" With love and respect, you are an incredibly dumb human being if you think Jesus would say, "I'm so proud of you, my brother." It's much less insulting to suggest that Progressive Christians see orthodox Christianity as a hindrance to building the world of sexual libertinism they desire. And in an attempt to fight against their enemies, they take something very sacred to them, the name of Jesus, and use it against them. They claim that Jesus would support their agenda, not because they believe it's true, but because they want to demoralize their opposition and shove those they consider low IQ fundamentalists out of the conversation by employing intellectually intimidating academic language. It's ultimately the same thing that people do when the child of a politician does something they don't like. "Your father, who was a good man, would be ashamed of you." They don't believe it. They say it because pitting someone sacred to your enemy against him is the quickest and most effective way to crush him. It's an ugly strategy, but it's certainly not a stupid one. So is it insulting to say that people like James Talarico are lying when they say the Bible supports transchildren and abortion? Sure, I suppose. But it's far less insulting than saying he actually thinks the Son of God rejoices every time a doctor throws a 12 year old's severed sex organs in the medical waste bin.

Ossoff: I am hearing from Republicans who come up to me on the street, or they approach me at the airport, or maybe they have my number and they give me a call, and they're telling me that they are voting for a Democrat for the first time this year because they've just had enough. The abuses of power, the blatant self-enrichment and corruption, while the American people face all-time high prices for rent and groceries and a meal out at a restaurant and the power bill — the people have had enough. And I believe that a mighty wave is building to rebuke these abuses of power and to restore checks and balances.

Never forget Jack Smith held more than enough evidence to convict him for the Capitol insurrection and the illegal retention of classified documents. Trump knew he would face prison time because he had ZERO chance of beating Harris. He solicited the help of Musk to facilitate malware on the tabulators that changed the outcome of the votes. TRUMP DID NOT WIN THOSE SWING STATES.

I'm legitimately confused by the Orthobros saying "this is only for a separate liturgy, so what would you charge for a separate liturgy?" Um, zero? I've done baptisms outside of the regularly scheduled Sunday morning service. I've charged zero dollars because the Gospel is free and thus baptism is free and because we don't rent the church and can use it at 3 in the morning if we want to and most of all because that's the job God called me to do.
Hans Fiene 🦬@HansFiene

You can either sincerely believe that baptism is a holy sacrament that confers forgiveness, life, and salvation or you can sincerely defend charging people for it like it’s an AirBNB cleaning fee, but you can’t do both.

Brett Kavanaugh, a man in his 50s, had been valedictorian of his high school, at Yale College and a star student at Yale Law, had clerked for the Supreme Court, had a top career as an appellate lawyer and federal judge and a pristine reputation, and then a random woman from the town he grew up in claimed he had groped her at a party 35 years earlier when they were in high school. Kavanaugh didn’t try to argue that the incident was consensual. He didn’t claim he remembered things differently than she did. He immediately stated that he had never even met the accuser. Denying ever meeting the accuser is a much stronger claim than merely denying assaulting her, and much easier to refute. After Kavanaugh made this denial, Christine Blasey-Ford no longer had to prove he had sexually assaulted her to scuttle his nomination, she only had to prove that the two of them had attended a party together at which such an assault might have occurred. She was unable to do so. She did not know whose house the alleged assault occurred at. None of the people she claimed attended the party corroborated any aspect of her account. Leland Keyser, a friend of Blasey-Ford’s, who the accuser claimed was at the alleged party, said she recalled no such event and had never met Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh produced a detailed calendar he had kept during the summer Blasey-Ford alleged she was assaulted, which included his whereabouts of every weekend night and listing who he was with. Kavanaugh argued that he could alibi himself and provide witnesses for any night Blasey-Ford claimed she might have been at a party with him. Blasey-Ford responded that she did not know the date of her assault and was not entirely certain it even occurred that year. Instead of being seen as persuasive, Kavanaugh’s calendar was mocked in both mainstream and social media because the reason he kept it was for a drinking contest he was having with his friends. Nearly a decade later, there is still not a single shred of proof or a single witness who will corroborate the claim that Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey-Ford were ever in the same room before she testified at his confirmation hearing. Nonetheless, people like Nick Kristof still claim Kavanaugh was “credibly accused” of sexually assaulting this woman.

Enjoy it while you can, MAGA. Just wait till Maryland responds with +2 seats of their own! And then sure, Ohio will probably draw +2 more seats. But then Massachusetts will respond with +1 more seat of its own! And then sure, Kansas will finally draw out Sharice Davis. But then surely Democrats will draw out a Republican from between VT CT and RI. Surely they will do that.
