Nice, clear report from @GregStuartLab on how dendrites make it impossible to accurately measure synaptic E and I inputs from somatic whole cell voltage clamp. Space clamp is not achieved in pyramidal neurons, especially not in vivo. 1/3 sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

@mattlark 🙂Well spotted. Yep. 2 weeks is not long, especially as they took months to put it together, so knew about this ages ago.

@GregStuartLab I'm hoping they use these 2 weeks for consultations and there will be no need for consolation. 😉 But seriously - a 53-page document like that doesn't come out of nowhere. When were the consultations before this? Why only 2 weeks?! This doesn't smell right.
