Lagos will humble you, no jokes. I was jobless for 4 months. Rent was close. Account balance was just there… like ₦200k. Then I saw a job asking for 2–3 years experience in something I barely knew. I said… we move. Crammed small things online, entered the interview with full confidence. Next thing… I got the job Now it’s 3 weeks in… Every day na survival mode. Google, YouTube, ChatGPT… na my real colleagues. The funny part? My boss is praising me 😂 At this point… I don’t even know if I’m faking it… or I’m actually getting good.

I left the U.S. military just last year. There were many reasons why, but I’d be lying if I said self-preservation wasn’t one of them. I could see the way the world was trending. More violent. More uncertain. More complex. I was on active duty, leading a platoon of 48 Soldiers when the war in Ukraine began. I remember: > the reaction: sending Soldiers to support NATO deterrence efforts early in the war > the uncertainty: training my platoon and having the hard conversations about how a deployment into the warzone could become a real possibility > the fear: watching early footage of modern trench warfare and drones turning people to mist > the somber reality: meeting Ukrainian Soldiers, many of whom are likely not still alive today And that’s the part of war people often forget. Like civilians, Soldiers are often caught in the crosshairs of wars they did not choose to fight. Many young people join the military for free college, discipline, and a stable job. Right or wrong, many don’t fully grasp the gravity of what that means, or what they are risking, until the moment they are called to act. But when that call comes, they go. Some out of love for country, but most out of a simple duty to the people beside them. To protect their team. To not let each other down when it matters most. So when I look at everything happening now, I don’t just see headlines or geopolitics. I think about: > my friends still in the military > the Soldiers I once led > their families > and every single person (from both sides) caught in the crosshairs of a war they did not choose I sincerely hope for the safety of as many civilians and service members caught in the middle of this war as possible. And more than anything, I hope this war ends soon with restraint, diplomacy, and peace.

Claude Mythos. Ten trillion parameters: the first model in this weight class. Estimated training cost: ten billion dollars. On the hardest coding test in the industry (SWE bench) it scores 94%. It found a security flaw in a system that had been running for 27 years, one that every human engineer and every automated check had missed. It found another bug that had survived five million test runs over 16 years. (It did so overnight.) It is so capable in cybersecurity that Anthropic will not release it to the public, instead it is launching Project Glasswing along with 100m in compute credits to help secure software. Only twelve partners currently have access: Amazon, Cisco, Apple, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, AWS, The Linux Foundation, Broadcom. (I'm sure the Pentagon is on the line?) This is not a product launch: it is a controlled deployment of a system too powerful to distribute freely. Tell me this isn't (very expensive) AGI?

Introducing Project Glasswing: an urgent initiative to help secure the world’s most critical software. It’s powered by our newest frontier model, Claude Mythos Preview, which can find software vulnerabilities better than all but the most skilled humans. anthropic.com/glasswing
