#watched FROM BEYOND (1986) Stuart Gordon really exploded out of the gate with RE-ANIMATOR, FROM BEYOND, and DOLLS. It's a shame is later work was largely relegated to the direct-to-video market. He should be a bigger name in the #horror realm.

After watching The Conjuring 2, I can’t get over how disrespectful and cruel it is to the memory of Bill Wilkins—he was a real human being who lived and died in that house, and he does not deserve to be turned into a generation’s boogeyman.

I love this movie, did a whole episode about it and it’s a really interesting and thoughtful story with great performances! Definitely recommend.

Watched 1980’s THE CHILDREN today as an antidote to the Conjuring franchise, and it was exactly what I hoped for—a charming, low-budget indie film with everyone giving their all to a premise so goddamn goofy no studio would ever have approved it.

What did you think of 2014's 'Annabelle'?

@letstalkhorror_ Oh my god. I joke in the episode that his abs should have gotten a co-star credit, because I have never seen a movie work so hard to get its male star topless for so much of the film. It is honest to god hilarious.

@HalfHorror This is the best body ever seen on screen. Yeah sure Brad pitt in fight club was good but the muscle bulk of Reynolds in this wins hands down Also I enjoy the amityville remake 😂

Finding out how religious the Hayes brothers are, specifically how patriarchally religious they are, has really brought the cultural messaging of the Conjuring movies into focus and I don’t mean that as a compliment.
