@G_y_tri Never experienced this amongTelugu.This is more common in Tamil and Hindi speaking belt of giving tea (coffee among tamils) and snacks. Many Telugu households(if women is in IT -despite knowing no English) would have an empty kitchen and assessing u if u r useful.very cheap.
