Big Breaking: Gurgaon’s Stilt+4 policy is paused again As of Apr 2, 2026 Punjab & Haryana High Court has stayed the entire policy. Court’s exact words: “The State merely to earn more revenue has put the safety of citizens at stake.” Next hearing: April 8, 2026 Here’s the 9 year saga in 60 seconds 👇 2017: Haryana allows Stilt+4 floors on residential plots 2018: 4th floor allowed to be registered & sold separately 2021: Citizens file PIL. Infrastructure collapsing Feb 2023: Government bans Stilt+4. Forms Expert Committee Expert Committee verdict: Conduct Infrastructure Capacity Audit before any approvals Jul 2024: Government ignores its own committee. Reinstates policy anyway Court Investigation: Roads officially 12m wide. Actual motorable width: 4.5m Apr 2, 2026: High Court stays the entire policy What’s frozen today: • All new Stilt+4 approvals • OC’s for completed buildings • New DTCP applications Just when we thought this chapter was closed it reopened.
