My Granma called my mom today. She hasn’t spoken to her in 2 weeks. It didn’t go well. She requested my mother bend over and yield to her and the vindictive family members, and my mom said no. She told my mom that she’s hateful and that’s why no one wants to be around her. She told her she didn’t need to call her for anything anymore. She doesn’t want anything from her either. When I visit my mother for Mother’s Day, my Granma will be able to see that I’m there since they live close. I won’t be able to go over there to see her. I have to stand with my mother. I have to stand up for her because I’m not going to let them villainize her and play victim for standing up for herself. My brother won’t either. We were literally the only two grandkids who actually called her or went to see her anymore. The last time I spoke to her a few weeks ago I gave her amazing news and told her I loved her. Now I don’t know who she is anymore. Items that belong to me are in her house, including pictures from my nursery as a child that I wanted to use for my own child. I probably won’t get them back. My Granma is gone. She’s gone and she’s never coming back. And I have to grasp that fact. Please give me time.
