Nobody asked them to do it. Nobody trained them for it. They were just two teenage boys — the kind you pass on the sidewalk and barely notice — leaning on their bikes in the summer heat when they saw something no child should ever have to experience.
A man walked away with 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas. She was supposed to be playing outside. She was supposed to be safe.
And in that single, awful second — while most of us would have been paralyzed, reaching for a phone, waiting for someone with a uniform and a badge to show up — these two boys made a choice.
They got on their bikes and they went after him.
No hesitation. No waiting for permission. No "someone else will handle it." Just two pairs of legs pumping hard through the streets of Lancaster, eyes locked on a stranger who had a little girl that wasn't his.
They tracked him. They stayed close. They didn't let him disappear into the afternoon like something that was never going to be found.
And then they confronted him.
Two teenagers. On bikes. Against a grown man who had already done the unthinkable. They forced him to stop.
He let Jocelyn go.
"The entire thing lasted only minutes." — Lancaster Police
Minutes. Because two boys closed the distance fast enough to interrupt it. Because they were raised — by someone, somehow — to believe that other people's emergencies are your business too.
When reporters asked one of them afterward why they did it, he gave the most deflating, most beautiful, most teenage answer imaginable.
He shrugged.
"I just felt like it was the right thing to do."
No speech. No GoFundMe. No press conference. Just a kid who saw a little girl in danger and couldn't make himself look away.
Jocelyn went home. She was reunited with her family. She got to grow up.
Because of two boys on bikes who hadn't been asked, hadn't been trained, hadn't been paid — and did it anyway.

Very proud of our 6-year-old daughter Natalie, who has Trisomy 21, a.k.a. Down Syndrome. Is it sometimes tough raising a child with special needs? Of course, but the world is a kinder, gentler & happier place because of people like Nat. We love her! #NATitude

THE SECRET HEBREW WORD
God told Noah to cover the Ark with "pitch" (tar) to keep the deadly floodwaters out. The original Hebrew word for pitch used here is Kopher. The mind blowing part? Kopher is the exact same root word translated later in the Bible as Atonement. The Ark was sealed by "atonement" to keep the judgement out.

My older brother was born with cerebral palsy.
My mother almost died giving birth to him.
Half his body doesn’t work. He can’t even grasp a fork with one hand. He wears out shoes every few months from dragging one leg.
And yet I will never forget the night my younger brother spiraled into depression, seriously questioning whether life was still worth living. It was my older brother, through tears and sobbing, who pleaded with him to see the good still waiting.
I remember how he described the little joys of life in ways I had never considered. He noticed beauty I had walked right past. Through his eyes, life felt richer and fuller.
I am grateful for his perspective every day and infinitely grateful he is alive.
Because in a body that fights him at every turn, he still chose to become the light for someone else. And that choice didn’t just save my brother.
He taught us what it really means to live.
He’s living proof that everyBODY, no matter how broken, deserves the chance to love this life and find its quiet joys.

@Coltsguy95 @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious If you want to talk about no evidence, your statement literally has no evidence. Chaos doesnt create, it destroys.
English

@Coltsguy95 @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious Minds create things. No, order to create comes from a mind, always. That is the point.
English

@Mikethewander1 @Pastor_Gabe Yup, I understand what that is. Life support allows humans to survive while no able to use their own facilities, same as you claim above. The baby is a human in the same condition. It has its own DNA, and is a different human than the one carrying it.
English

@Coltsguy95 @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious So, the computer evolved from what, the abbacus? The car from a horse? No, there are minds that studied and invented as they saw need and opportunity.
English

@Coltsguy95 @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious Except He came down and told us who He is and what He wants for us. You ignore the evidence that is right in front of you.
English

@IIIFriend @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious Regardless of what the answer is, you cannot assume "it must be Yahweh." There's ZERO edivence that any of the Abrahamic mythology is real. ZERO
English

@Coltsguy95 @QuestionInfinit @forallcurious No, they are not. No evidence of this at all. Minds give order to things.
English

@AtheistTakes There is no good or bad other than opinion without God.

@DaMadMattster @Carey23Mark I have met Him also. He is my LORD, My Savior, my All.
English

@Carey23Mark I have met Jesus. He is not a myth. He has changed my life from the inside out. Something I could not do on my own.
