The team has managed to restore 80% of the power supply. One load centre at Smit Street remains off until repairs are completed. While the contractor was busy trenching, we discovered that the joint has been located in a private property and we couldn't gain access. The work will resume this morning. Olivedale Substation Ring Main Unit (RMU) in distributor tripped on earth fault, interrupting the power supply to customers in Bellairs drive, Blandford, Bouved and possible surrounding areas. The work has been handed over to morning shift, please bear with us as our resources were overstretched by loadshedding. Block 4 areas: Bryanston East, Parkmore, Riverclub, Moodie Hill, and surrounding areas. Night shift operators found all in good condition and the breaker was on and taking load. However, it was reported that it tripped shortly after a few minutes. We'll update affected customers on developments. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.^DR
