Society is fine having a 'Blacks Only' sign or a 'Gays Only' sign at the moment, but not fine having a 'Whites Only' sign or a 'Straights Only' sign. This is not justice. What I want is equal treatment under the law, not special treatment for certain groups and not others. The right to the products and services of other people against their will should not be a fundamental right of anyone. Race is an inherent trait, so is sex. How are women only spaces and groups not discrimination on the basis of an inherent trait? Are women's shelters not discriminating against the 'fundamental rights' of men simply for being men? After all, if your argument is that only discrimination based on actions is okay, they would be forced to allow all men except the ones that have criminal records. Is age not also an inherent trait? Are groups that exclude based on the age of others not discriminating on the basis of an inherent trait? What you argue is not from a logical basis, but from an end result that you desire, which you then create justifications for. To ban all discrimination which is based on inherent traits would be to completely eliminate the possibility of excluding anyone from any group for any reason.

@IPretend2Know @LibertyCappy So essentially, a 'Whites Only' sign is fine as long as the business is private. In a civilized society, your 'right to be wrong' ends where the fundamental rights of others begin. Discriminating against a criminal record is judging an action; race is an inherent trait.

Teachers' unions are at the bottom of the push. They despise student testing and grading. Not because it may reflect poorly on some students. But because it exposes which teachers are underperforming. They fear any path to merit-based employment.

Canada is similar to Japan, although, while conservatism is on the rise in our youth, it's still well behind due to how much the left controls our state media and our academic institutions. We have many elderly Canadians who seem to believe everything they're fed by the state media, claim all the evidence which contradicts their beliefs is 'American propaganda', and consider themselves too intelligent to ever stoop to the level of doing their own research or honestly evaluating other perspectives. Most of them are not willing to accept that the values they were programmed to believe in and champion for decades have led to disaster, and would rather the nation burn than admit they were wrong. It's similar to the zealotry of parents who have transitioned their kids. To even entertain the idea they might not be right would mean they are responsible for subjecting those they love to immense suffering and hardship, and they simply cannot ever accept that possibility. They will fight tooth and nail to preserve their self-perception as 'the good guys' no matter how bad things get. Our nation is full of virtue-signalers who don't care about the consequences of their ideals, only that their ideals make them feel good.
