The Embassy celebrated ITEC Day 2026 on 23 March at Shangri-La The Fort, bringing together over 100 ITEC alumni and distinguished representatives from TESDA, DFA, AFP, the Coast Guard, and other partner institutions in the Philippines. Ambassador Shri Harsh Kumar Jain welcomed the guests, underscoring the pivotal role of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme in strengthening institutional capacities and advancing human capital development. Chief Guest Monina Arevalo Zenarosa, in her remarks, fondly recalled her visit to India and highlighted India’s contributions to peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific through its capacity-building initiatives under ITEC. Lt. Gen. Ferdinand T. Brandon, Commander of the Armed Forces Intelligence Command, also addressed the gathering. Drawing from his own experience as an ITEC participant, he emphasized the programme’s growing importance in deepening India–Philippines defence cooperation.
