As of now, Kerala : 20 UP : 80 If based on 2011 census as per BJP bill, Kerala : 23 UP : 142 If based on proportionality, Kerala : 30 UP : 120 For those who say proportionality is fair, let me give an example based on salaries. A employee gets a 50% hike which takes his salary from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 and adds cost to company of ₹10,000. Another employee who gets the same 50% hike takes his salary from ₹80,000 to ₹1,20,000 and adds cost to company of ₹40,000. Is the impact same? Do absolute numbers not matter? Has inequality and weight not widened? In the real world, Absolute numbers matter the most. They matter even more so in politics. BJP is trying to permanently disempower the South where it has never been dominant. Remember BJP has never come to power in Keralam, TN, AP, Telangana and never won a majority in Karnataka as well.

@RoseTint4 @Sanatanii_ The surprising part is if you try and talk to any Muslim from Kerala, Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra, TN or Telangana they all understand Hindi (Urdu) very well. I remember a recent Pitaai of MNS Penguin Sainik in the Mira Bandar area where the majority are Muslims.

I have been living with a Tamil girl for the past two months. She rented a floor in my house, and we’ve developed a close bond. She can’t speak or understand Hindi, which is perfectly fine. One day, we were having a conversation, and she said she doesn’t like the attitude of Tamil Nadu politicians toward Hindi. I responded that I feel if South Indians don’t want to learn Hindi, it shouldn’t be forced on them. She then said that they don’t even allow those who willingly want to learn Hindi. To be honest, I find it hard to accept that there are people in Tamil Nadu who actually want to learn Hindi. Isn’t it hard to believe?
