@CacheThatCheque Japanese high schoolers should easily pass N1, but definitely not middle schoolers. The vocabulary and depth of reading passages would be very challenging for them.

There are some weird grammar questions, but no reason for any native Japanese speaker that graduated high school to fail the N1
