Officials from the Huduma Kenya Secretariat conducted a site visit and evaluation of Likuyani Huduma Centre, ahead of its hand over from Likuyani NG-CDF to Huduma Kenya. Interior finishes and external works are currently ongoing. The Centre will be a vital hub, providing residents with convenient access to a wide range of government services under one roof.

Yesterday, at the Departmental Committee on Tourism and Wildlife, we engaged the @Min_TourismKE , led by CS @rebecca_miano , to deliberate on the Financial Year 2025/26 Supplementary I Budget Estimates. We also secured funding for Mawe Tatu heritage that is set for implementation and Mumonyonzo ecotourism project that is in progress. Key challenges highlighted during the session included revenue constraints, rising operational costs, and increasing compensation claims arising from human-wildlife conflict. The CS was accompanied by Principal Secretaries Mr. John Ololtuaa (@WildlifeKe_) and Ms. Silvia Museiya ( Tourism), alongside CEOs of state agencies and ministry CFOs.

We have successfully installed a new three-phase transformer at Sikulu area in Kongoni Ward, through our matching fund programme between REREC and Likuyani NG-CDF. This project will enhance electricity connectivity for more than 300 households and support socio-economic activities in the area, in line with our #NuruGizani initiative.

Through our partnership with the national and county governments, the construction of the Kakamega County Aggregation and Industrial Park is steadily taking shape. The park will enhance agricultural value addition, increase our farmers incomes, attract investment into our constituency, and create employment opportunities for our people once complete.

Hebrews 13:16 On the Third Sunday of Lent, we joined faithful at St. Mary Magdalene Sub parish for Holy Mass and later a fundraiser to support completion of the church. The service was graced by the Chief Guest, H.E. FCPA @BarasaFernandes, County Executive officials, MCAs led by the host Hon. Anthony Mix, among other guests.

Ongoing electricity maximization, targeting 150 households at Sikulu area, Kongoni ward. This project, under my #NuruGizani initiative, is focused on increasing household access to the power grid, reducing energy poverty and boosting local economies in the Likuyani constituency.

This evening, I met with village managers from Likuyani Location. During the engagement, I outlined the current status of our ongoing development projects and listened to the issues they raised, which will be central in shaping our development priorities.

Held a consultative engagement with village managers from Sinoko and Nzoia Locations. The forum provided an opportunity to listen to local priorities, share updates on our ongoing development agenda, and align our initiatives with the needs of our people.

Today morning at my Sango residence, I engaged village managers from Kongoni Location in a development forum. We discussed key priorities to ensure that our development projects remain community driven and reflective of the aspirations of our people.

Congratulations to Matunda S.A Secondary School for its exemplary performance in the 2025 KCSE examinations, emerging among the top Day Secondary Schools in the country. The school attained a mean score of 7.62, with 285 candidates achieving the university entry grade of C+ and above, a transition rate of 73%. This is a testament of dedication of the students, teachers, and school stakeholders. To further strengthen academic excellence, we are constructing a modern administration block incorporating a student library and computer laboratory. Once complete, it will provide a conducive teaching and learning environment.

We remain committed to strengthening our school infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment and secure a brighter future for our children. Today, Amb. (Prof.) Julius Bitok, PS for Basic Education, commissioned three newly constructed classrooms funded by Likuyani NG-CDF under my patronage. The classrooms are fitted with terrazo flooring for durability and ceiling board to enhance the learning experience. The PS also commissioned five renovated classrooms at Matunda S.A Special School, that will improve the learning environment for our differently abled learners. Also present were Hon David Athman Ndakwa (MP Malava), Education stakeholders, parents and students.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my colleague and friend, Hon. Johana Ng'eno, the MP for Emurua Dikirr. Hon. Ng’eno was a devoted and courageous leader who worked tirelessly and championed for the rights of his people. He was committed to uplifting communities through talents and empowerment programs, which he also extended to the people of Likuyani. My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and the people of Emurua Dikirr for this profound loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Joined fellow leaders and residents at Mutsuma Village in Malava Constituency for the homecoming ceremony of West Kabras Ward MCA-elect, Elphas Shalakha. This victory reaffirms the people’s confidence in the broad-based government and the transformative agenda of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto particularly in advancing development across the Western region. Also present were Governor Dr. FCPA @BarasaFernandes, PS Dr. @Bettymuganda17, President Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet, Deputy Governor Hon. Ayub Savula, Malava MP David Ndakwa, MCAs, among other leaders.

We are grateful to H.E President @WilliamsRuto for his commitment to improve our road infrastructure. After decades and long wait, we have finally unlocked the upgrading to bitumen standards of Matunda-River Nzoia- Brigadier road. Phase 2 of the upgrade of Kosoki-Mawe Tatu roads (Kosoki-Sisundi junction-Kwa Reuben-Waiguru-Mukuyu PAG-Njenga junction-Kongoni HQ-Kongoni TVC-Kuwait) has also been advertised. These two roads will significantly enhance mobility and ease movement of people and goods.
