🚨 36-year-old Maryland woman Talecka Brown, got into a heated argument with her 13-year-old daughter inside their home in Seat Pleasant in September 2024. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation inside the house. As the teenager tried to walk away and move toward a staircase, Brown pulled out a firearm and sh0t her once in the back of the neck.
The girl collapsed at the bottom of the stairs and was left unable to move due to the severity of the injury.
Brown allegedly told the child to tell authorities that an unknown intruder was responsible for the shooting.
Emergency responders later arrived and transported the teen to the hospital in critical condition. Medical reports showed the gunshot caused serious damage to her upper spinal area, and she required emergency surgery along with a chest tube to assist her breathing. Despite the life-threatening injuries, the child survived but faced a long recovery.
Investigators later determined there was no intruder and that the shooting happened during the argument with her mother.
Brown was arrested, charged, and later convicted of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse, first-degree assault, and use of a firearm in a felony.
On June 18, 2026, she was sentenced to 50 years in prison.

"Over the last three months, two-thirds of the defensive weapons that have protected Israel have been built by American hands and paid for by American tax dollars

A Justiça determinou a suspensão temporária das visitas do pai, enquanto o caso é analisado mediante a investigações, laudos psicossociais e perícias.
@Maryangel216@ABC So Anthony is attacked and supposed to just let it be... bullies learned that bullying people will cost you your life at times. Sucks he died but he should of kept his hands to himself and none of this would of happened. Metcalf parents should of tought him to be a better person
@Isen170@ABC Wrong. The video released shows Anthony as the aggressor. Anyway he stil chose to stab Metcalf. He decided to kill him instead of walking away. He is lucky he didn’t get the death penalty or life.
Karmelo Anthony, 19, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf in a fatal stabbing at a Texas track meet.
