An Iranian regime missile struck next to a mosque in Israel. A regime that targets civilians and sacred spaces of all religions has no red lines. Nothing is off limits for them.

An Iranian missile struck a residential neighborhood in Haifa, killing 2 and injuring 4 - including women and a baby. Two remain missing under the rubble. The Iranian regime is deliberately targeting civilians, adding to its long record of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Iran’s terror network spans continents. Weapons supplied by Iran, routed through Assad-linked actors and Hezbollah networks, traded for drugs and millions - fueling terror from the Middle East to Latin America. This is how the Iranian regime fuels global instability. wsj.com/world/middle-e…

On Passover night - the celebration of freedom - Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy, launched a barrage of rockets at civilians in northern Israel, forcing families to run from the Seder table to shelters. A sacred night turned into fear. Hezbollah’s terror against Israelis must be stopped.

This morning, I spoke with @Pontifex Pope Leo XIV to exchange greetings for the Passover and Easter holidays. During our call, we discussed the war with Iran, including the ongoing threat of missile attacks by the Iranian regime and its terror proxies against people of all faiths in the region. I recalled the recent Iranian missile attacks on Jerusalem that fell in the area of sites holy to Christians, Muslims, and Jews. The people of Iran also deserve a better future free from this dangerous and violent regime of terror. We also spoke about the situation in Lebanon, including the importance of the safety and security of Christian communities on both sides of the border. I emphasized that the Hezbollah terror organization cannot be allowed to continue threatening both the people of Israel and Lebanon, who both deserve a future of peace and stability. I expressed to Pope Leo XIV the great importance of the State of Israel's relationship with the Holy See, the Catholic Church, and Christians around the world. I also underscored the importance of the cooperation of all world and religious leaders in the crucial fight against antisemitism. I extended my warmest wishes for the Easter holiday to Christian communities across the Middle East and around the world. We expressed our shared hope for a more peaceful future for people of all faiths across the world free from the threat of violence and bloodshed.

A piece of the Iranian cluster missile hit next to the Embassy of Ukraine in a residential neighborhood in Tel Aviv this morning. This demonstrates once again that the regime's strategy is to deliberately increase civilian casualties. It's part of the strategy of war crimes committed by the Iranian terrorist regime. Fortunately, no member of the embassy staff was injured in the attack. In recent days, thousands of drones, many of them Iranian Shahed drones, were launched by Russia against cities in Ukraine. We condemn these attacks and send our solidarity to the people of Ukraine and to all staff of the Embassy in Israel.

This morning, parts of an Iranian cluster missile fell some 30 meters from Ukraine’s embassy in Israel. Luckily, visitors were inside and none of them have been injured. This incident once again proves that Iranian regime poses a threat to everyone in the region. It does not respect not only the Vienna convention but basic norms of human life. It is important for everyone to be united in protecting life from such terror. Ukraine is making its contribution. And the pressure on regimes in Teheran and Moscow must be constantly increased.

In Israel, reality looks very different from what you see online. While misinformation spreads, daily life continues. A powerful account from Tel Aviv on the growing gap between the real war and the ‘alt-war’ on social media. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

Following an Iranian missile strike just meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Israel Police is closely coordinating with Christian communities to allow Holy Fire Saturday ceremonies to proceed in a symbolic format while ensuring public safety. This morning, local Police Commander met with Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and both sides agreed on an adjusted framework for the traditional celebrations. Over the past two weeks, several Iranian rockets have struck near Jerusalem’s holiest sites. The threat is real and imminent.

“Iran’s missile program has always had a goal of having the continental U.S. within striking range.” This is a regime that chants “Death to America” while building the capability to deliver it. A threat to the United States. A threat to the free world. thehill.com/policy/defense…

I just called the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to express my great sorrow over this morning's unfortunate incident in the Old City of Jerusalem, in which Cardinal Pizzaballa and the Custos of the Holy Land, the Most Reverend Fr. Francesco Ielpo, were prevented from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for prayers amid the ongoing security situation. I clarified that the incident stemmed from security concerns due to the continuous threat of missile attacks from the Iranian terror regime against the civilian population in Israel, following previous incidents in which Iranian missiles fell in the area of the Old City of Jerusalem in recent days. I reaffirmed the State of Israel's unwavering commitment to freedom of religion for all faiths and to upholding the status quo at the holy sites of Jerusalem.
