I've flown back to London briefly today to meet with His Majesty The King at Buckingham Palace. This was a fantastic opportunity to update him on current standings in the RAF, in the UK and abroad.

"In a case like this, it comes down to how we coordinate personnel and equipment. I have chosen a proactive approach: demonstrate strength before it is challenged. I hereby declare that a significant military operation is underway in Northern Ireland."

Yesterday, I stood alongside @LouisWellesley at Caernarfon Castle as he was invested as the Prince of Wales. The RAF holds it's bond with The newly invested PoW close to it's core, and I am grateful to have stood by him on such an occasion.

I took the opportunity to visit my pilots from both groups recently, to grasp an idea on what it is they are up to. I saw Chinooks from @CorpsRaf deliver cargo drops onto a ship in the Indian Ocean. I also saw Typhoons from @No1Group_RBLX engage in Air-to-ground operations!

I'm well over my first 3 months as CAS now, since then I have actioned significant changes to the RAF. I do my best to be transparent with the work I do with my troops, as well as the public. Since I've not given an update in a while, here are some things I've been up to...

I made a visit overseas to Malaysia this week, where I greeted airmen from the RMAF. Forming bonds overseas means we can work jointly to achieve the common goal of delivering combat air power. @MYSverse_TU

I've taken some personal leave recently, but am happy to announce my return.

Introducing the E-7 Wedgetail will empower global air power with enhanced intelligence suites. I'm proud to debut it into RAF service alongside Poseidon, Rivet Joint, Reaper drone and Shadow aircraft. Furthering our ability to gather intelligence and giving us a global advantage

I am able to affirm the RAF will conduct a flypast in London to mark the King's Birthday, shortly after the Trooping of the Colour takes place. I have authorised the use of a range of aircraft making their debut to RAF service. The flypast will be the largest in RAF history.

Things are moving ahead at Coningsby.

Hard at work in my first few weeks as CAS. So far we have provided job expansion to RAFR, confirmed a time for the release of RAF Coningsby, updated our recruitment pipeline, issued new equipment to all staff and organised exercises with our friends overseas. More to come!
