You can't force someone to donate a kidney to save a living person. But you'll force a girl to carry a pregnancy against her will? Make it make sense.

@Its_Toad @wynrosei How is that awkward? You say you aren't religious, but you adhere to the fundamentalist religious view that a fetus is somehow a person and somehow has rights that supercede the rights of an actual living person. That honestly just makes you more pathetic

Oops Nobody brought up religion Can these bots go away already?
Slade McRulenstein@thekingofcuba

@Its_Toad @wynrosei You gotta stop trying to force your weird religious beliefs on everyone else in society. A fetus isn't a person. But even if it was, a society shouldn't systematically start violating people's human rights

@thekingofcuba @wynrosei One of those things you mentioned ends an innocent human life. The other doesn't. Hope that clears up any confusion

@Its_Toad @wynrosei Do I need to define the words I'm using or something? Denying women/girls an abortion is denying them bodily autonomy. And forcing someone to donate a kidney would be denying them bodily autonomy.

@Its_Toad @jenstevens736 That's her prerogative. She is allowed to kill herself, she owns her own body. That's not her potentially negatively affecting someone.

@canesevoitpas @jenstevens736 She said she'd k1ll herself if she got pregnant. How is that not someone being potentially negatively affected?

@Its_Toad @jenstevens736 No. Irresponsibility assumes there is someone being potentially negatively affected. But she responsibly had an abortion, so no harm was done to anyone.

@canesevoitpas @jenstevens736 She took zero precaution to prevent it despite knowing she'd be su1cidal if she got pregnant. In the very least you'd say that's irresponsible as hell, no? Considering she was a grown adult

@jenstevens736 @AbortionChat It seems you don't. You don't know that whether they are made is at the behest of the woman. She gets to decide whether she allows the pregnancy to continue.

I'm trying to understand your pro-choice position and how you get there. You must look to some principle to help guide you to whether something is right or wrong? The only reason I mentioned earlier about you being atheist or secular was because there are also secular pro-life groups who argue from biology, human rights, ethics and philosophy. They typically argue from. 1. Human life begins biologically at conception 2. All human beings deserve equal moral value 3. Human rights should apply to the unborn I'm assuming there's some kind of guidance or set of ideas that says protecting humans is good, harming them is bad? That you adhere to? How does it differ from those concepts? I'm assuming you also use biology, human rights, ethics and philosophy to build your case? I hope you can see these are questions of good faith.

You banned abortion to "save lives," but maternal mortality is rising in those same states. Women are dying from preventable pregnancy complications. These laws don’t save lives, they take them.

The same men who cry about "government overreach" want the government to control women's bodies. It’s obvious that they don’t care how much the government gets involved in your life, as long as it furthers their agenda.
