I’ve realized one of the major reasons our parents found it easy to date was cos social media wasn’t a thing then.. Now, everybody’s “self aware” Everyone knows the buzzwords, narcissist, red flag, avoidant, love bombing.. we’re all vigilant, looking for the slightest reason to ghost and maintain our peace but the truth is, to have a healthy relationship, you have to come to terms with the fact that everyone’s traumatized, they’ll all come with baggage, nobody’s perfect Some will come as Avoidants, some will come anxious but what makes them different and worth trying with is if they’re healing and genuinely working on themselves. These are the people you stick around with

You know how you listen to a song and it reminds you about your partner so you decide to share the song with them so they know how you feel about them. So I was listening to Drake's Fire and Desire, and this particular line stuck " you're a real ass woman and I like it, I don't wanna fight it". It sounded cute so I decided to send it to my girl. Some minutes later she quotes a line from the song that says "Tell me should I cut these other girls right out of my life? Cause we never decided". Now I’m writing a whole thesis explaining there are NO other girls and that part of the song does NOT apply to me. 😭😂

I had a Jordan 4 retro PSG and an Air force 1. The Air force 1 was definitely not fake, my Cousin abroad got it for me. I was shuttling between schooling in Portharcourt and living in Lagos. Most times I had to travel light so I'd leave some shoes at home. I didn't get to wear both shoes for almost 2 years and they were stored in my wardrobe. The day I did, both disintegrated before my very own eyes. I cried real tears that day. 😂😂😂
