In 2017, they resorted to labeling Raila Odinga as “mganga” and “mzee wa vitendawili,” among other insults. By 2022, the winning formula became the famous “hustlers vs dynasties” narrative. Now, ahead of this election, President Ruto is once again searching for a new monster to blame, hoping to play the underdog card and secure victory.
