But Vingegaard and Paul Seixas are missing here; though even with them on this sort of terrain, only bad luck would prevent Pogačar from triumphing. I could be sitting here spinning theories that this is Pogi’s first stage race, that Pogi still has the classics in his blood, that he might lack rhythm in stage races but I wouldn’t be being honest with you: Pogačar is going to sweep this aside with his usual ease. However, the battle for the remaining podium places will be contested; we have a fairly group of riders who could all be in contention for second place, and the gaps between them will be narrow, so we can expect a fight for the podium right up until the end of the final stage.
