@nicomusiani @NoahNgan yeah first one once Ganna was getting gapped van der Poel closed it quite comfortably, you're also not even getting the Wellens/Narvaez leadouts, you're getting del Toro/Christen who are worse at positioning

also, Pogacar and Narvaez started Cipressa at least 5s down. Wellens some 2s. At 35.5kph, 5s over 2:40 is ~20W wasted, more if you think both him and Narvaez spent quite a bit of time out of the draft. To me it really hinges on that.

I don't know if this scenario was talked about...what if Pogacar will try to take Del Toro with him on Cipressa in a small 3-5 rider group? 🤔 So Pogi keeps his nuke fresh for Poggio. Is this a better plan or Tadej can only get separation from Mathieu on Cipressa so he must go-all out there? #MilanoSanremo

@NoahNgan there were small gaps for a split second twice, once when he attacked from behind vdp and got him by surprised on Cipressa and once here on Poggio, both got comfy closed

@NairoInGreen I think you nuke, cipressa, and ses what you can do at the bottom after also sending the descent. Tbh tho, can you drop KLCP, Wiebes, Vas, Kopecky and VOS? Some of them are also better descender so they might just comeback in the valley

You have to nuke it to get rid of Wiebes but can you vget rid of Vos?
Do you try to get multiple people in a group to play numbers vs her and KLCP (who in theory got a better sprint than ELB).

Does SD-Worx immediately full commit to Wiebes or try and play anchor in a potential move after Cipressa?
EF could reasonably play for a Rüegg group sprint or a Vallieres move.
I don't think Canyon is bringing a squad to really threaten Wiebes so they'll have to rely on UAE
