I teach a course at the @JohnsHopkinsSPH and I am trying to figure out how to handle student use of AI tools. Saying "forbidden!" seems out-of-touch in 2026. Considering leaning into transparency and accountability instead. Thoughts? Experience?

No matter how long I live in LA, I’ll never forget where I came from - Lansing, Michigan! Today was special, as I was able to go home and participate in a luncheon and dinner reception to help raise millions for Lansing Promise’s college scholarship program! I enjoyed talking with Lansing Promise scholars about growing up in Lansing, entrepreneurship, employment and more. It was so nice to see my good friends Tom Izzo and MSU Athletic Director Alan Haller and meet the new MSU Head Football Coach Jonathan Smith and the new MSU President Kevin Guskiewicz! I’m passionate about investing in the success of our youth, so events like today always fill my cup and remind me of my why - to help others! Thank you to Lansing Promise Executive Director Justin Sheehan and the entire Lansing Promise team for all you do and for inviting me to be apart of it!
