The abolitionist case for withholding votes from Trump in the 2024 election in large part centered on making clear that evangelicals are a political bloc that should be taken seriously.
The objective was to communicate that on the matter of abolishing abortion and other key issues, evangelicals are not a coalition susceptible to empty pandering without political action in favor of our policy goals.
Trump and other Republicans instead learned in 2024 that they can compromise as much as they would like on our policy goals and still expect unconditional electoral support from evangelicals, which is why we are seeing such massive compromises and disappointments during this administration.

Pro-life pundits like Seth Gruber who opposed abolitionists in 2024 for taking this principled stand should be held accountable for their statements as they try to sound like...abolitionists.

The reason that preaching in the streets, jails, and homeless shelters is so useful for preachers, and especially the Reformed type, is that it requires you to interact with the unwashed, unclean, non-church people, and to learn how to do so in a way that they understand. They don't care about Calvin, theological nitpicking, seminary jargon, and ethereal platitudes. It'll teach you not to preach over people's heads and to keep your fancy language in the study. It trains you to keep to the point—Jesus Christ and Him crucified. If you're a preacher or a seminary student, go find a fishing hole outside of the church bubble & plunge in.

Trump posted this. Blasphemous? In the extreme.
But you know who I blame for this more than Trump? Word-Faith/NAR preachers who have been surrounding him for years. Paula White compared Trump to Jesus just last week. Two of the most prominent SBC pastors, Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham, have given their full support of Paula White. Trump attended Las Vegas International Church some years ago and "Pastor Denise," had Trump come on stage and she said of him, "What I hear the Lord say, 'This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.'"
She not only compared Trump directly to the Son of God, but claimed God as the source of her information. Sheer blasphemy.
Trump is no theologian. These Word-Faith/NAR charlatans and heretics claim to be. And shame on Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham for supporting them. In doing so, they participate in their sin.

A lot of people seem to be straining hard to blame someone else for this, but come on. This is far from the first time he has acted this way.
Maybe Trump has advisors who treat him like a deity because that's what he wants.
Can't we just call it all evil and urge him to repent?

So often Abolitionists will mention the sin that others are engaging in. When we say “you took part in the child sacrifice that Trump is committing while in office” people think that we are “attacking the wrong target”
