I do not deny that we should crush them politically. We need to completely defeat and dismantle the ability of the pro-abortion left, the pro-life establishment groups that keep abortion legal for women, and anyone else who oppresses preborn babies through the law. But this can be done alongside calling men to repent and turn to Jesus, which is central to being a Christian in a wicked culture.

You do not need to quote Scripture, especially to people who reject God and are nominalists who interpret the world to their convenience (ironically, what Protestants have done) You need to crush them and demonstrate that their nominalistic subjective worldview is a trolley problem where, under their logic, we can just as easily use abortion to remove minorities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, disabled people, with the right genetic analysis, maybe even liberals themselves) That is what is needed to defeat them. To actually finish the job, we need an objective ontological Truth from Christ. That very Scripture says hold to the traditions, oral and written, taught by the Church which Christ created. Catholics hold those traditions (To comment briefly on the religious differences) We are fighting against abstract people who deny intrinsic value; as such, we must argue for a true worldview to replace it, not to stop the evil itself (Christ distinguishes between stopping evil and doing good), and to that extent, the actual Truth in Scripture holds to a dogma, doctrine, and definite authority that is not present in the subjective, Sola Scriptura tradition It is intrinsically flawed in that traditions define the words we read; a culture of death reads words differently than one of faith. The Scripture itself says to hold to our traditions There is a marked distinction between those who hold to an ontologically definite Truth, those who deny it, and those who purport to some of it while themselves embracing the very tradition that started this mess The Orthodox and Catholic Church have made it dogma to oppose abortion. There are so many splinter groups and councils that one cannot say that ANY denomination, let alone a group of churches, is opposed to abortion ontologically But no, we don’t need to quote scripture to oppose them. We need to beat them and oppose the absurdity of their logic. But yes, the Faith is an imperative foundational tool in that larger battle

This is why I cannot take pro-life leaders seriously when they refuse to invoke Scripture while arguing against abortion. They seem to believe that simply proving abortion is murder will be sufficient to end abortion, even as the entire culture is loudly screeching that abortion is murder, that they do not care, and that if anything they think murdering babies is funny. The only way to confront this level of darkness is shining the light of Scripture, compelling people to repent of their bloodlust and bow the knee in submission to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember to pray imprecations against those who fund pro-abortion ballot measures.

We moderns forget that the entirety of human history is a contest of “my god is stronger than your god.” When two cultures with different gods come into contact, the culture with weaker gods is conquered, or they switch their allegiance to the stronger gods. In large part, the history of the Great Commission is the history of Jesus Christ, the true God, putting every power and principality to open shame, and entire cultures and nations bowing the knee in recognition of this. Athanasius centers much of his argument in Contra Gentes on these exact realities, arguing that the complete defeat of the heathen gods in his day was irrefutable proof that Jesus truly is alive and conquering his enemies. We seem to have forgotten or neglected these truths today to our great detriment.
