Thirty years after the Port Arthur massacre, the terrible, indiscriminate cruelty of that day remains beyond understanding. Australia pauses today to remember the 35 people whose lives and futures were so pitilessly stolen from them just because they happened to be there. We think of everyone whose world was shattered by the loss of those who had been the bright centre of their lives, their love left desperately wrapped around an absence. Our hearts go out to everyone who has lived with decades of loss, and every survivor and loved one who is no longer with us but was shadowed by an inconsolable grief for the rest of their days. We think of all who survived but with memories that would never soften. We express our gratitude to the first responders who arrived in scenes of unspeakable horror but somehow found the strength to do their duty. We think of the broader Tasmanian community, which was shaken to the core, but came together in love and extraordinary resilience – and in the process, lifted Australia when we so desperately needed it. We honour the extraordinary courage that emerged from shattering grief. We think of Walter Mikac who channelled his devastating loss into a call for national action on gun reform, writing to Prime Minister Howard with a message that echoes through the decades: “Be strong, act now”. Australia is a better place because the Government and the Parliament of the day came together to answer Walter’s call. This is what we hold on to – the abiding memory that somehow amid the most terrible darkness the best of humanity found a way to shine. Three decades on from that day when our nation stopped, let us stand together as we stood together then, united in love for everyone who never came home.

CORRUPT TO THE CORE If you need yet another damning example of how utterly corrupt and incompetent our medical regulators are — and how COVID was ultimately one giant money-making scam — just look at Pfizer’s Paxlovid (nirmatrelvir–ritonavir), the antiviral tablet they push the moment you test positive. Firstly, remember when they promised that their magical COVID injection would mean “you won’t get sick”? They were lying through their teeth, for at the exact same time they were making that promise, Pfizer was already preparing to flood the market with Paxlovid as a covid treatment. If their so-called “vaccine” actually worked, why the hell did they need Paxlovid in the first place? And the very same corrupt regulators who ruthlessly banned cheap, safe treatments like Ivermectin and HCQ were lightning-fast to rubber-stamp approval for Pfizer’s latest multi-billion-dollar miracle drug — and slap it straight onto the PBS at a staggering $1,100+ per script, all paid for by Australian taxpayers. To date, over 600,000 scripts have been written in Australia alone, costing taxpayers more than $660 million. Now a major new peer-reviewed randomised controlled trial has confirmed what many suspected: In two open-label trials, nirmatrelvir–ritonavir (Paxlovid) did NOT reduce the incidence of hospitalisation or death among vaccinated higher-risk participants with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Worse still, the data showed the vaccinated people who took Paxlovid actually had a slightly higher risk of hospitalisation and death. So here we have a drug with 86 known severe drug interactions, a black-box warning in the US for life-threatening side effects (including death) toxicity to the liver and kidneys, a 20% chance of rebound infection, and now peer-reviewed evidence demonstrates that it doesn’t work. Yet Pfizer has already fleeced Australian taxpayers out of over $660 million for this poison, and our captured, incompetent medical regulators still keep it listed on the PBS. Every single day this toxic, ineffective drug remains approved and subsidised is further proof that our health bureaucracy is rotten to the core. So where is the ABC’s “investigative” reporting on this scandal? With a billion dollars in taxpayer funding, you’d think they could spare one journalist to tell the public the truth. But silence. Because they’re too busy covering up the corruption of our medical regulators. The rest of the legacy media? Ally Langdon and the rest? — total crickets. And where is the TGA ? Why haven’t they pulled Paxlovid off the market ? Why isn‘t APHRA deregistering any doctor that continues prescribing drug ? And our all state Chef Medical Officers ? And what about our so-called politicians — Liberals, Labor, Greens, or Teals (Alex Antic excluded)? Not a single word in Parliament. Just a pack of useless gutless cowards bought and paid for by Big Pharma. And then there are the toadies, sycophants and useful idiots from the left, who could not help but post mocking Ivermectin & HCQ - who will say nothing about this. And the only place you’ll hear the truth is here on X — from the very accounts they tried to censor and destroy during the COVID years. That’s why One Nation deserves the support of every Australian at the next Federal election because they are only ones with the integrity to call these scams out and demand a Royal Commission.

Appalled but not surprised to see govt caving to the gas companies. This just makes me more determined to go harder on our campaign to get a fair return on our gas through a 25% tax on gas export revenue. Head to ourgas.com.au to add your voice. abc.net.au/news/2026-04-2…

I was appalled at the booing of Elders during the Welcome to Country at ANZAC Day services in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Not only did First Nations people serve in both World Wars, but we must acknowledge the impact of the Frontier Wars on Aboriginal people and communities.

BREAKING: Divisive ANZAC Day “Welcome to Country” speaker Mark Brown celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk. He charges up to $4,500 per Welcome to Country announcement and sells a range of AI generated illegal ANZAC merchandise on his website. When challenged he told the descendents of Australian soldiers that they should ''know their place'' - that they do not truly belong to this land and country despite fighting and dying for it. Why should we elevate this guy to a position of high public prominence and honour in Australian public life when he supports the murder of his political opponents and shills illegal ANZAC merchandise for personal profit?

I can confirm my formal complaint to Matt Keogh’s office has been received this afternoon. The complaint relates to an individual allegedly selling unauthorised ANZAC merchandise on Anzac Day. It’s a day that is meant to honour service and sacrifice, not be used for commercial gain outside the established rules and protections. I will keep you informed as a response is provided by his office.

🔨 THE GREAT VICTORIAN GOLD HEIST 🔨 💰THE BIG DIG ‼️‼️‼️👇👇👇👁️👁️👁️😡😡😡 AUSTRALIAN’S (at least) must SHARE THIS What if I told you there’s a multi-billion dollar gold resource sitting right under Melbourne? 🏛️💸 Even more shocking: this gold is located exactly where the Labor Government’s Big Build worksites are excavating millions of tonnes of earth. 🏗️🚧 Why is this excavated earth being classified as “contaminated” and quietly hauled away? 🚚🤫 Could it be “contaminated” with our gold, minerals, and gemstones? 💎🕵️ The Law is Clear: Under Victorian legislation, if gold is struck, work must stop. A permit must be registered to log the discovery. Given the 24/7 drilling and boring by the CFMEU, it is almost certain they’ve hit something valuable. Where are the registered permits? 🔍 Where is our gold? 😠 Why are they digging under “spooky pirate flags” telling us to stay away? 🏴‍☠️ There was never a solid business case for these $100 billion+ projects. It’s becoming clear that road and rail outcomes might never have been the primary goal. Instead, these infrastructure projects appear to be a cover for a massive resource grab by Labor, the CFMEU, and foreign interests. 😈🇦🇺 Jacinta Allan’s Think it sounds far-fetched? Billions have already vanished into “cost overruns” on these same sites with zero accountability and no prosecutions. They get away with stealing $30 billion in taxpayer funds the same way they get away with stealing OUR GOLD. 🔨💰🚫 The digging continues, the contracts keep being signed, and the wealth of Victoria is being trucked out under our very noses. It’s time to demand answers.
