Currently theres a rare visitor among the large flock of starling that are feeding & roosting on the marsh. A white or Leucistic starling occurs only 1:30000, even at a distance in the midst of a murmuration it stands out like a beacon & that makes it a easy target for predators

@rtaylorjones We do the same each year & were lucky enough to see one of these too recently; so beautiful. Then last night, rescued a Jersey Tiger Moth from the kitchen! Another new garden visitor, we think attracted by the stinging nettles we are encouraging. 🤗

Left my small lawn 80% unmown all summer - being reward with arrival of these beauties… Marble Whites…. Imagine if all gardens, all open public spaces had areas left wild…..
