If I was a betting man I would put money on a bet that the Moe/Cockrill play in the current bargaining with teachers is invoking this section of the Saskatchewan Employment Act. A supervised vote of the governmentโs last offer. If so, teachers should reject it.

In case you missed it: In 2023, private schools received a 25% increase of taxpayer funds compared to the previous year.
Public schools received a 2.5% increase.

Teachers are on the TBC. They prepared sub plans for their capable but overworked and in-short-supply colleagues, travelled, spent time away from their families and home communities for THIS?!?! Absolutely zero respect for my colleagues and teachers as professionals.

Government didnโt give the GTBC
the authority to bargain, just another take it or leave it offer.
After attempting to delay bargaining further, the GTBC didnโt return to the table.
