We’re expanding Virtual Care to help unattached patients access primary care more easily. This means fewer ER visits, less travel, and the right care in the right place at the right time for Saskatchewan residents.

Today was budget day. The campaign commitments that we made in the last election were largely focused on ensuring that Saskatchewan remains the most affordable place to live in Canada.   We made choices to protect Saskatchewan and we’re delivering on each and every one of those campaign commitments in this budget.

We’re taking action to strengthen critical care across Saskatchewan. Through our Patients First Health Care Plan, new ICU beds are already in place — with more on the way. This means faster access to life-saving care, better flow in our hospitals, and stronger outcomes for patients and families. It’s about making sure you can count on care when and where you need it most.

Today, I was at Canada’s Farm Show to celebrate the strength of Saskatchewan agriculture. Our producers, innovators, and equipment leaders are helping feed the world. With growing global demand for our food, fuel and fertilizer, Saskatchewan continues to show why we are a trusted and reliable partner.

Saskatchewan continues to lead the world in canola innovation. BASF’s $27 million investment to expand its Canola Breeding Centre in Saskatoon will strengthen research, create jobs, and help deliver the next generation of high-performing hybrids for growers. Our province has what the world needs, and we’re proud to support the innovation that keeps Saskatchewan agriculture strong.

Saskatchewan continues to have one of the strongest economies in Canada. The 2026 RBC Economics Quarterly Canadian outlook report provides an encouraging look at what’s ahead for Saskatchewan: we’ll have the second strongest growth in the country this year and more than double the national growth rate. Our government will continue to protect the Saskatchewan economy.
