That’s when you start buying companies that aren’t insurance companies but operate in related businesses: • Pharmacy benefit managers, middlemen for drug companies • Pharmacies • Physician services and physician groups “Why is that important? Well, think about it. I’m the insurance company. I want it to look on paper like I’m meeting my medical loss ratio because if I don’t, I have to pay a rebate. “So, I overpay a physician I own. That shows an expense, but the money goes back into my other pocket. Same thing for drugs: I can take a $50 drug and pay $200 for it. This gets around the medical loss ratio because the government can’t trace the money beyond the insurance company. “That’s why our insurance premiums go up every year, and they’ll keep rising until we change the system.”

i’ve started to on occasion "accidentally" (but on purpose) not hang up my phone correctly when getting off a call with my daughter-in-law. i then proceed to talk to my husband about how much i enjoy talking to her, how lovely i think she is, how glad i am that our son chose her, and whatever other boost i may think she needs. she doesn't have any family that uplifts her, just the kind that tears her down. i started doing this after my son told me about his wife coming to him in full-on snot tears, because i had once butt dialed her while talking to my husband about her. she stayed on the line to hear what i "really" thought of her, expecting the worst because that's been her experience of family. apparently she was quite touched by the things i said, and my son told me it gave her a confidence boost that lasted weeks. so i do it more often now. neither of them have any idea i do it on purpose, though. they just think i’m getting old and worse at managing my tech.

🛑 STOP reacting and panicking over President Trump’s harsh ultimatums. He is not speaking to ordinary Iranians. Right now, he is directly addressing his real adversaries, the corrupt elite who actually run the IRGC. Iran is practically being controlled by the IRGC, a mafia-like terrorist organization. They sell oil through illegal networks in Dubai, pocketing half the money meant for “jihad” and missiles, while their own soldiers live in extreme poverty. President Trump understands this reality perfectly. These bosses do not care if America strikes missile sites or nuclear facilities. They do not care if their brainwashed Basiji soldiers die. What they fear is losing their personal wealth and foreign assets. If Iran is destroyed, their investments turn to ashes. That is why Trump is pressuring them: control your fanatic soldiers, prevent stupid and dangerous moves, and keep the Strait of Hormuz open. It is not only about the strait, it is also about the 400 kg of highly enriched uranium.
