Gemini in the OpenAI SDK: we now support Structured Output requests through the OpenAI SDK to Gemini models, including with support for @pydantic & Zod! 🔀

English

@juliusvolz I’ve found many models “understand” markdown just fine. I’m doing less and less processing and getting results that meet my needs.
Depending on size too, you can sometimes get away with context stuffing (big prompt) vs. RAG if your model has a big enough context window.

Are you interested in #contributing to #kubernetes? The community will hold its first monthly New Contributor Orientation Meetings tomorrow at 8:30 AM UTC/1:30 AM PT and 3:30 PM UTC/8:30AM PT. The purpose of these meetings is to orient new contributors in the Kubernetes community by providing them with a brief overview of what Kubernetes does as a technology, how the community is structured, and how they might fit within it, including information about current opportunities to contribute.
Join those meetings to learn about contributing to #opensource Kubernetes!
Meeting links and additional details can be found on GitHub at: github.com/kubernetes/com…

@bketelsen Best of luck! Our baby came a month early last January. We didn’t have all our things sorted but the outcome was worth it 😍

@ahmetb @fiunchinho Is creating a PR (creating a single file) for the cluster not dynamic enough? I’ve been hacking on a similar concept but might not be the same use case.
English

@fiunchinho Yeah we already use Helm+ArgoCD but the deployment workflow engine that invokes ArgoCD is aware of which clusters exist. I want to make this part a bit more dynamic, e.g. when a new cluster is created, it automatically becomes part of the rollout workflows.

Enjoy some fresh new Kubernetes patch releases!
1.30.4, 1.29.8, and 1.28.13 (very soon).
Thanks to @JimmAngel and @BenTheElder for the assist.

@thockin @ahrkrak home-assistant.io for the win! +1 for the YoLink.
I have them in my freezer; ensuring our baby’s milk doesn’t exceeded a temp and haven’t had any issues.
English
@ahrkrak I hate the whole smarthome space because I don't want 10 different apps. I already have MyQ and Google Home and Lennox. I wonder if there are any products that integrate with one of those.

Following @ImreRad 's awesome write-up on getting a container breakout in k8s via the gitRepo volume type, I decided to see if I could use it to get a root shell on the underlying node with added @Tailscale raesene.github.io/blog/2024/07/1…

@rpkatz I support! I bought this bass with my first-ever paycheck working in a hospital kitchen: guitarcenter.com/Ibanez/AEB5E-A…
Although, I tend to gravitate to my electric bass 10 times out of 10 🙃
