@jondelarroz I watched Kevin Smith's video on Star Trek: The Motion Picture years ago and thought his take was funny as he thought the movie boring but after watching it for the first time 3 years ago I thought it was greater compared to the J.J. Abrams movies.

The media keeps running this "for the first time in a decade there's no Star Trek in production..." narrative to try to scare fans. But Star Trek hasn't been in production since 2005. This slop is NOT Star Trek. It's theatre kids larping. Do you agree?

@CeedKl @janesmitish I would say the RPG mechanics add to the general lifelessness. The AI are some of the worst in any video game! This is my own screen capture! 5 identical NPCs on the same piece of pavement! Good, smaller is better! 2077s map is far too vast for it's own good.

@JimmerVision @janesmitish That's the biggest issue not the RPG mechanics? Also disagree the AI is serviceable for the population density that needs to run on your pc. Otherwise the game would be the size of Dogtown. To get all the features you want.

it's very funny how often I'm frustrated by Night City's civilian ai or how little there is to do besides kill enemies, but man the city itself... maybe the best video game city ever. I could drive around it forever

I did find the dialogue to be pretty bad, the sound design is some of the worst I have ever witnessed! There's so many times where there's no sound at all

@RinoTheBouncer The opening of Cyberpunk is really cool, so many different choices you can do with the Maelstrom mission with Jackie. But then after that, it's all super linear with no real choice. It just boils down to an FPS futuristic GTA clone.

@jondelarroz The Expanse is one of my favourite Sci-Fi shows. No, I don't have any love for the writers, but they wrote a good story, at least for teh first 7 books. Found 8 & 9 hard going. Kinda got too big for it's own good.

I saw a listicle that showed The Expanse as one of the best sci-fi series of all time. I never watched it because the authors joined a cancel mob against me and were pricks. Is it actually that good?

It’s a really terrible thing to sneer at people who are less well educated than you, many of whom will have been from poor families, living in communities that have been let down for decades and have schools delivering poor results. I remember when people who thought they were on the left stood up for people like that.

@eurogamer So many people are overreacting to this. A TV show is not a video game and should not be made the same. Having it "more appealing to non-gamers" does not automatically mean "less appealing to gamers." Wait until we actually see something of it before judging it.
