@BryanTweed16 I wish Somerset got more attention in the Tillinghast portfolio. Purists know of its brilliance but it looks SO good. In my top 5 Tilly's that I want to play eventually! Happy for you man!

Somerset Hills, one of the first A.W. Tillinghast designs, is the most fun I’ve had on a golf course. A fairly open front half is contrasted with a woodland closing nine that is 💯 the best I’ve ever played. Demonically tough, yet fun greens juxtaposed with perfect conditions.

Black Sheep is such a simple concept. Just play golf and have fun all day long. Played holes 10-27. Loved the par 3 distance variety and really enjoyed the par 5s that are all gettable in 2, but the greens are small, and pins are tucked. Conditions were so pure greens so true!

@iamdiesel18 30+ rounds with 2 littles is very lucky bro. I played 5 full rounds and five 9-holers. Easy to stay injury free with that little golf. Had quality over quantity though. 1 day trip to Sand Valley and got to play Irish at Kohler. Only 1 round at Congo River with the kids 😔

Interesting question. This is the first year I didn’t set any specific goals. Instead, I wanted to share the game with my oldest and try and be more present around home with having a newborn in February. I knew fitting in golf was going to be tough. Here’s how it went (🧵):

@iamdiesel18 @robertwindon @Cade4ISU Just had this discussion while playing Father's Day weekend. If fairways hit didn't improve, might as well be 15-30 yards closer. 5 ft off the fairway or 25 ft off the fairway doesn't change much

@robertwindon @Cade4ISU Sound advice from Rob. A few years back @JoeEstesPT and I tried shelving the driver and just hitting 3W off the tee. The results were not as expected. Still got into some trouble off the tee but even further away from the green. Scores did not improve as a result.

If you’re continuously struggling with your driver but you’ve had success with it in the past, do you: -Hit 3 wood only -Buy a new driver -Keep at it and hope you find it again

One of my favorite courses in my neck-of-the-woods is Chalet Hills, a bold & challenging Ken Killian design in Cary, IL. Today's #TweederCourseEndorse has two CRAZY holes to finish each nine, as well as several unique Par-4's that require a "target golf" approach. Quirky & fun!

Having spent a decent amount of time in the Oakland Hills clubhouse it's a sad day for golf history. The membership there had done an amazing job preserving and presenting the club's rich history. Thankfully everyone is safe and got out of the building.

If you are the best in the world of course you want a tough set up, & in Jon’s defense the Tour have been going away from that more and more. Softer, greener conditions each week with lots of birdies is their new recipe.

BONUS #TweederTop40in2022!!! Just snagged a foursome at The Beverly CC, one of the few premier clubs in Chicago proper, whom many consider a Top 5 course in state. This 1908 Tom Bendelow design was apparently rerouted completely by Donald Ross 10-years later. Looks so choice!!

One of the best greens on the planet, the 5th at Somerset Hills. This mid-length par 4 overcomes rather uninteresting land thanks to its wild green.

@IJGAmatt I didn’t know Greg Martin was doing it! All I knew was that it was getting re-done. In that case, I’m in!

I cannot wait to play this place next year
