@tjhook47 @BaseballAmerica 2011 Southeastern Louisiana also. The problem is there’s a precedent set. We can’t change things because people like a certain coach/ team. They don’t pass the eye test. It’s that simple and they had a chance to win. Cinderella‘s are special because there’s so few of them.

The reality is college sports is moving past the small conferences and it’s been like that for a while. CofC in 2024 got screwed also.

I’ve watched the growth of both programs , and the Sunbelt has way more upside. Also, it comes down to the eye test. I’m 35 years old and I’ve heard that my whole life about football and baseball.

Remove the logo from every team's resume, Mercer is in. Remove the logo-- Mercer is not even on the bubble; have an argument for a 2 seed. Instead, @NCAABaseball is biased against @SoConSports, and now America loses out on seeing a historic, top-5 offense in @MercerBaseball.

I also think this year, no matter what we think the Sunbelt has been upgraded to a power six position. The committee clearly likes it and I think that’s due to ESPN influence.

The fact of the matter is the SoCon is a good enough conference in a year like this one to have 2 bids. NCAA will never do it.

@JohnReynoldsSr @Ua20Matt Never disputing the tradition. But as someone who grew up in the 90s and saw the Citadel’s peak for baseball it’s not close. It shows how much you don’t get out to the rest of SC schools college baseball. Tradition is great and I love being part of this tradition.

The Citadel for years has had one of the top baseball fan bases. Not at the level of the big SEC programs, but definitely ahead of 90% of the country. Glad to see the postseason drought is over for them
