@StlllWest Very possible. Since Little pitched 3 of the last 4 days he's probably not available tomorrow even if he was going well. I would also send Estrada down to get another pitcher for the bullpen

@copperleaf22 I didn't watch yesterday's game but the previous games some of the SB's you can blame Kirk it was on the pitcher for not paying attention to the runner

Blue jays pitchers getting roasted on the base paths this year. Not helping Kirk throw anyone out.

@JefDLL Also putting Slafkovsky with Demidov and Kapanen for a while and them having success and it made Slafkovsky a better player when he went back to the 1st line was a turning point

@BadCane @BlueJays @TD_Canada It's Anthony Kay not Crochet they are going to face later. Also if that was the case I would drop Davis down in the order and put Gimenez or Varsho in the 2 hole

@ShapiroWilkBall @BlueJays @TD_Canada The lineup may change because Kay is not starting for the White Sox today. I honestly missed last night game but why is everyone down on Okamoto? He had 1 bad game and it's not like Barger is ripping it up this year. The change I would make is Barger in and Varsho out vs LHP

@BlueJays @TD_Canada Why is Okamoto untouchable in the lineup? Barger needs reps!!! I don’t care it’s lefty on lefty, Barger needs to take those at bats. This is a garbage lineup legit stunting Bargers growth and development. Morons at the reins right now

@nut_history @DrJimNoble It's not just MLB umpires that used that rule. Pretty sure every level of baseball does..It's like if the ball hits the foul line or pole it's fair

@RealDealYup @MitchyGallo The NHL has 2 trophies 1 the Hart is for the league MVP and The Rocket for the best scorer. The Rocket has been around for more than 25 years and only 5 times a Rocket winner won the Hart in the same year. So the top goal scorer doesn't automatically mean your the team MVP

@JPParent11 @MitchyGallo Suzuki doesn't play the PK that much anymore it's not that Evans, Anderson, Veleno and Danault are better than him at it it's to lessen to load on him. Also if the Habs give up a goal they can come back with 1 of their top 2 lines to try to get it back since no 1 is on the PK

@JPParent11 @MitchyGallo That's a sign of a balance team. Newhook has played the PK before. I believe he was on PK2 with Kapanen at the beginning of the season. You give that spot to Veleno to give him a role on this team.

Here are my three takeaways from the Montreal Canadiens’ 3-2 win over the New York Rangers, brought to you by Snap Bar Sportif in Rigaud. 1- Newhook having a career year It’s unfortunate that Alex Newhook suffered the injury that cost him a large portion of the season, because he’s been terrific both before and after. Maybe people would view him differently if he had played a full year, more than just a third-line player who can fill in on the top six in spurts. Newhook might still set a career high in goals despite missing nearly half the season. Yes, he’s benefited from playing alongside Ivan Demidov, but he’s made the most of that opportunity and it’s clearly working. It wasn’t long ago that the Canadiens were looking to young players who hadn’t blossomed to help speed up the rebuild, and it looks like, in doing that, they hit a home run and found a gem in Newhook. 2- Penalty kill with another perfect night The penalty kill has been a point of concern for Montreal all season and needed to improve heading into the playoffs. To their credit, the Canadiens have done a good job fixing issues on the fly this year, whether it was protecting leads, slow starts, or defensive zone coverage. Well, the PK shut down the New York Rangers tonight. And while the Rangers aren’t a great team overall, they are dangerous on the power play. Montreal also held Tampa Bay to 0-for-4 on Tuesday and blanked Nashville on special teams over the weekend. Another box is starting to get checked as they approach the postseason. 3- Jacob Fowler’s rebound Martin St. Louis made the right call again with his goaltenders, something he’s handled well all season. Fowler’s toughest outing came back in early December, when he dropped a 5-4 shootout game to the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. So what do you do? You give him a chance to respond against that same team, and he delivered. Much like his win over Nashville, he wasn’t overly tested, but he made a couple of key saves, including a point-blank right pad stop on Alexis Lafrenière in the second period. Looking ahead, the Canadiens are in a great position with two goalies performing well while still on inexpensive deals. That kind of flexibility can be a huge advantage. @tsn690

I really hope the habs can sign T.J Hughes when his season is done. He’d be a great replacement for Phil Danault in a year when his contract is up #GoHabsGo

Eric Lauer will now start Sunday for the #BlueJays. There’s a sickness going around the clubhouse and he’s caught it, so they’re giving him an extra day. TBD (likely a bullpen game or called-up starter) tomorrow vs White Sox

@NicLeclerc @MitchyGallo Caufield is the Player of the Year no doubt. Suzuki does more than just score goals. Maybe I overrated Dobes season for what he's doing lately and should be lower on the list but I put Suzuki and Hutson over Caufield 100%.

@MitchyGallo Same with Hutson. If you take him off the team obviously the Habs are not as good probably fighting for a WC spot but they can manage without him.
