Derby Museums have been brilliant custodians of Wright's work 🖼️ I am ecstatic that the government recognised this and provided £800,000 to Derby Museums as part of its £20 million Museum Renewal Fund. Local and regional museums are vital to our history and identity.

It was great to visit Belper rugby club with Morrisons recently. They have helped fund better drainage improvements so that the club can continue to bring people together through the power of sport. I look forward to meeting Belper rugby club again soon.

@GaryStanbrook Hi Gary, I ended up walking across the fields from Kedleston Hall to Quarndon, rather than on Kedleston Road. Is it the whole stretch of Kedleston road that is poor or sections? I can write to Derbyshire County Council on your behalf, but just need a few more details.

@Jonathan4MD I'd like to raise my concerns about the poor road conditions on Kedleston Road between Western Underwood and allestree. Put aside the costs of maintenance. Because of the condition of the road, it's a safety that is really important. It truly is a dangerous road.

Since March, Pottery Primary School has introduced a new way of learning through outdoor play – which Mr Hooley, Pottery’s Headteacher, explained to me in my recent visit. It was great to learn about how it has improved their children's education.

I had great fun calling two charity games of bingo at Ritz Bingo, Belper, recently. I learned how they have been fundraising for Variety, The Children’s Charity, and have raised over £2 million since 2015. It was great to play a small role in that.
