It’s so wild I have to argue such a simple concept with casuals, analysts, and hardcore fans alike. No matter what corner you look in; a lack of basic respect for the sport is present.
So it’s deeply refreshing to see a competitor like Volk echo similar sentiments.

Holy shit man, fuck the UFC executives and a lot of the fanbase tbh. Rare kind of talent for our sport, and people cheer when it’s gone. It’s difficult to see eye-to-eye with anyone who doesn’t respect the sport enough to care if high-level talent is restricted.

Boxing vs. MMA discourse in 2026 is genuinely pointless. Both sports are amazing in their own ways, & 9/10 pure boxers lose in mma & 9/10 mma fighters lose in boxing. I hate to sound like a centrist but I’ve heard nothing productive or new & ya’ll keep arguing in bad faith.
