Creatine is a compound made from three amino acids and is naturally stored mostly in your muscles, with smaller amounts in the brain. Your body produces creatine through the liver, kidneys, and pancreas, and you also get it from foods like red meat and seafood. Most supplements use creatine monohydrate. What does creatine actually do? Your muscles use ATP for energy. During intense exercise, ATP gets depleted quickly.
