I just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely tributes which have been left to Judith. She always said she just wanted to make the world a better place and it's comforting to know that her light touched so many lives. Steve

It is with deep sadness that I share the news that Judith died yesterday. She was with her family and passed away peacefully at home. Judith wanted me to say she really valued the Twitter community, who shared her passion for geography and wider interests. Steve (her husband)

Idris Mathias was a postman in Cardigan. His work took him along the Teifi River. In 1945 he embarked on project that would take 17yrs, drawing a 58-foot-long map of the area. His map includes drawings of birds, fishermen –and their names, local landmarks and placenames. #thread
