Please trash this ish. As someone who grew up in this beautiful city, we do not need this monstrosity destroying historic sightlines, overshadowing the Lincoln Memorial, throwing up all over Arlington Cemetery or standing as a monument to Trump--because in the end, that's all this is.

@NBCNews Less gold, add stone art deco murals, molding and architecture needs to gently draw the eye up, no gold statues (we prefer darker metals), gold needs to be tastefully applied in creative ways.
American art deco celebrates the people and mythology of the US. It should do that.

In fairness to Trump, the U.S. really is one of the only Western countries without a victory arch of some kind in its capital.
And if the U.S. were to construct one, the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding would be a pretty appropriate time to do it.

As the US and Iran negotiate, this is the key to the outcome of the war: No president will ever think it worthwhile to attack Iran again.
